Team principle and driver Bruce Jordan began his boat racing career in 2001,

After a long and successful drag racing career.

Having purchased a racing hull and fitting it out with a supercharged Chevrolet engine,

Bruce competed admirably, learning the art of powerboat racing, reading water conditions,

And running consistently within the top place getters.

Realizing that the competition was getting stronger, Bruce and David Murray purchased Racecraft Marine,

Manufacturing purpose built race boats, and supplying performance accessories.

With the new boat, the Real Thing Team also undertook an engine development phase,

Increasing the reliability and power produced. A second engine was developed,

And has shown excellent results In both engine power and reliability.

In 2007 the Real Thing Racing Team produced a second boat, with immediate and stunning results.

At this time ,the team welcomed racing legend Tony Walsh who's input together with Bruce,

placed the boat on the podium In 2 of the biggest events of the season,

 leaving many fancied rivals in their wake.

The 2008/09 season also surprised many ,with the boats terminal speed and reliability amongst the best in Australia,

Winning many fans around racing venues ,as well as placing in some of the biggest

and most prestigious events in Australia, qualifying for  the finals in every event entered.
